barefoot in bluejeans

Hi, I’m Reneé. Welcome to My Blog, photograph-pray-love.com. My title, Barefoot in Bluejeans, pretty much summarizes who I am in 3 words.

If you are new here, let me tell you a little about myself and what you can expect to find here at Barefoot in Bluejeans.

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, an airline captain wife, a mother of two beautiful girls and a wonderful bonus son, a grandmother (Oma) to a beautiful baby girl, a genetic counselor, a patient advocate, a manager in genetics research, a tiny backyard farm owner, an animal and nature lover, a horse owner – you get the drift. As I go through my days wearing all of these different hats, it’s easy to get caught up in the mundane and forget to notice the beauty that is all around us. A few of my passions are photography, scrapbooking (especially Project Life), traveling, my animals and flower gardens, eating the vegetables from the vegetable gardens that my husband grows and bible journaling! Photography helps me to capture even the smallest morsels of beauty that surround us; while scrapbooking and writing help me to document them.  Bible journaling helps me to use my creativity while delving into the Word of God. While browsing my blog, you will find those moments captured through the lens of my camera; sometimes my film camera, sometimes my digital SLR but mostly my iPhone camera! You may also come across some of my creations  – scrapbook pages or bible journaling pages, my thoughts on life and every so often maybe even something about human genetics. I’m so glad you stopped by.

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
